The pan-African Ecobank Group has launched applications for the seventh edition of its Fintech Challenge, offering a total prize of $50,000.
Ecobank, a prominent independent pan-African banking group, serves over 32 million customers in consumer, commercial, and corporate banking across 35 African countries.
Now in its seventh year, the annual Fintech Challenge invites early-stage and mature startups to potentially partner with Ecobank in these 35 countries. Fintech startups that align with the bank’s strategic goals have a chance to win the $50,000 cash prize and collaborate with Ecobank to scale their solutions.
Eligible participants include fintech companies and developers from any of Africa’s 54 countries, as well as global fintechs focused on Africa. Applications are open until July 7.
After the finals and awards ceremony in October 2022, ten finalists will join the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship. Last year’s competition was won by Cameroon’s Koree.
