XMAQUINA DAO, the DAO for decentralized autonomous machines, announces its successful Genesis Auction on peaq, the layer-1 blockchain powering DePIN and the Machine Economy. The two-week auction, which started on XMAQUINA’s own platform at 1 PM CET on January 29th, saw 33 million of its upcoming $DEUS token go on offer, swappable exclusively for $PEAQ. The DAO raised 3,703,703 $PEAQ tokens, amounting to more than $900,000 at the time of the writing. The auction, which drew more than 1,000 contributors, boosts the DAO’s momentum as it gears up for its token generation event and portal launch.
Physical AI — AI-imbued autonomous machines such as robots or autonomous vehicles — is emerging as a major industry, building up on the ongoing AI boom. With NVIDIA’s CES 2025 presentation spearheading the Physical AI and companies like Tesla doubling down on automation with its Optimus robots, the AI revolution is coming into the real world. However, it might be too early to look up to the sleek, intelligent tech we’ve all seen in sci-fi films. Due to the high upfront costs of autonomous robotics R&D, the breakthrough industry could remain the playground of giant companies and VCs, with the everyman sidelined from the innovation.
XMAQUINA DAO levels the playing field, opening up autonomous robotics for the general public. Its community will be able to direct its Treasury to support promising projects in the field, as well in adjacent areas, such as open-source AI. The DAO will also have an internal R&D arm as well as fleets of autonomous value-generating machines such as robo-cafes that will benefit the members. The $DEUS token, which went on offer in the Genesis Auction and will have its TGE on peaq later in 2025, is at the core of this ecosystem, enabling those staking it to vote on DAO proposals.
The DAO will use the liquidity raised in the Genesis Auction to prepare for the launch of its portal, which will enable the token holders to stake their $DEUS and vote on DAO proposals. Other milestones in the next few months will include the $DEUS token generation event on peaq, the launch of the DAO proposal process, and the DAO’s own AI agent.
