DATS Project, the DePIN powering decentralized cybersecurity services, has launched rwattacks.com, its new portal for decentralized DDoS testing service. The portal works as the first public touchpoint for its expanding security SaaS suite. Currently open for Proof-of-Concept testing, the portal offers early adopters the ability to simulate real-world attacks on their infrastructure. It is already available for early users looking to see how their systems hold up against real attack scenarios, including both Layer 4 and Layer 7 tests. The platform will ultimately be open to a wider audience under a flexible SaaS model.
Cyberattacks are hitting harder and more often. DDoS attacks, in particular, are on the rise, and they’re becoming more complex. According to The 2025 Global Threat Analysis Report from Radware, there was a 550% surge in Web DDoS attacks in 2024 compared to the previous year. Attackers exploited advanced Layer 7 (L7) vulnerabilities in particular. As DDoS attacks grow, companies are under pressure to diligently prepare.
“Too often, companies don’t know how their systems will actually hold up until it’s too late,” said Serkan Bilen, Founder and CEO of DATS Project. “Our new platform gives them a safe, controlled way to find the weak spots before someone else does. It’s about giving teams the tools to fight back with confidence, using infrastructure that doesn’t rely on a single point of failure.”
The process is simple: After signing up, users go through a quick KYC process and choose a DDoS test package that fits the level of bandwidth they want to simulate. Once some basic security checks are out of the way, they can launch their own Layer 4 and Layer 7 attack scenarios. A detailed report is then generated after each test, showing exactly how their systems performed. It’s a simple, hands-on way for companies to prepare for real-world attacks.
DATS, which is building on peaq, the layer-1 for the Machine Economy, is powered by a network of 675,000+ nodes across 195+ countries. The nodes are owned by a community of cybersecurity enthusiasts, who will earn rewards in blockchain-based tokens for providing capacity. The DATS infrastructure currently supports DDoS attack simulations at up to 70Tbit of bandwidth and has already protected more than $1 billion in assets against cyber threats. DATS is actively serving clients across several sectors including banking, defense, technology, cybersecurity, logistics, and government agencies.
