Revenir AI, the UK Fintech specialising in automated tax reclaim solutions, today announces an exciting new partnership with US-based financial technology company, Karta, representing Revenir’s first partnership outside of Europe.
Karta, the virtual credit card for international travellers, has joined forces with Revenir to launch a new service aimed at helping customers easily reclaim VAT on their spending abroad. Karta partners with Third National and Interaudi Bank to issue its cards for both US and Non-US citizens and is used by its clientele of high net worth individuals who travel regularly between the US, Spain and Portugal.
Karta account holders will soon have access to Revenir VAT reclaim platform, allowing then to easily capture shopping receipts and enjoy tax free shopping on their holidays. As the expert and specialist in digital tax, Revenir simplifies and automates VAT recovery for international travellers and businesses, transforming a traditionally cumbersome process into a seamless, form-free experience, powered by innovative technology. This partnership is a significant stepping stone for the London fintech, which is rapidly expanding.
Shawn Du, Founder and CEO, Revenir AI, says: “Each year billions in VAT and similar taxes are left unclaimed due to the complexity of the reclaim process. We’re thrilled to be working with Karta to transform the shopping experience for international customers and break down barriers to VAT refunds. This is the first of several partnerships we are planning to announce in 2025.”
“At Karta, we’re building a premium cross-border financial experience tailored to affluent customers across Latin America—and that means removing friction from every part of their international spend,” said Freddy Juez, CEO of Karta. “This new partnership with Revenir allows our customers to reclaim European VAT in seconds—by simply snapping a photo of their receipt and sending it via WhatsApp to our AI-powered concierge. No more long lines at the airport or confusing paperwork. It’s a seamless, money-saving upgrade—and a more affordable, digital-native alternative to traditional providers like Global Blue.”
Karta currently serves customers across LatAm, with a strong focus on the Brazilian market, offering no foreign transaction fees, AI-powered financial assistance, and real-time support through WhatsApp.
