Strengthening Cybersecurity Collaboration
This new partnership builds on TikTok USDS’s existing collaboration with Oracle, established under the Project Texas Plan. Created in May 2022, TikTok USDS is a special-purpose subsidiary focused on securing U.S. user data, content recommendation, and moderation systems within the secure Oracle Cloud environment. This initiative underscores TikTok’s commitment to data protection and user safety.
Role of HaystackID and OnDefend
HaystackID and OnDefend, with additional support from Mandiant Consulting, will serve as the ISIs, ensuring the security and integrity of TikTok’s app, source code, and user information. This partnership aims to meet stringent cybersecurity standards and protect the U.S. platform.
