According to betting experts from Bukmacherzyonline, the Ministry of Finance in Poland is currently processing license applications from several igaming companies that are willing to enter the market that hasn’t seen new betting operators since 2024.
This information is based on the leaks acquired by betting experts. The Ministry of Finance, however, has not commented on it yet. So far, the news is only a speculation. However, if the it does get verified, it will change Polish market drastically.
At present, only 17 licensed operators are active in the Polish market all within sports betting. And the country hasn’t seen any new brands for more than two years. If or when new bookmakers join the scene, the competition will get fierce.
The reason why operators are interested in Poland is simple: the numbers are becoming too large to ignore. According to recent market analyses, Poland has become one of the ten largest iGaming markets in Europe by projected revenue. Blask estimated that Poland’s gambling sector returned to growth in 2026 after a long slowdown, driven largely by online demand.
The Polish Ministry of Finance reported that the country’s gambling market generated more than PLN 94 billion in turnover in 2024, representing annual growth of over 26%. Online gambling continues to expand particularly quickly.
Industry estimates cited by Gambling Maps suggest the market now generates approximately $2.55 billion in annual gross gaming revenue, with online gambling accounting for more than half of the total market.
For international operators, these figures make Poland one of the most attractive untapped gambling markets in Europe.
