THE FINANCIAL TIMES NAMES ALMEDIA THIRD FASTEST-GROWING COMPANY IN EUROPE, NUMBER ONE IN ADVERTISING

Almedia, the data-driven platform engineering the future of mobile gaming user acquisition, today announces it has been named Europe’s third fastest-growing company in the prestigious FT1000 listing.

The FT1000 is an annual listing of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, compiled by the Financial Times and Statista based on average annual revenue growth over a three-year period. With an 18,773.2% absolute growth rate, Almedia’s inclusion recognizes its extraordinary growth between 2020 to 2023. Almedia was founded by its now 23-Year-Old CEO, Moritz Holländer, while he was still at school. Since then, Almedia has grown to 80 employees as of February 2025. The company remains founder owned with no external funding. Headquartered in Berlin, Almedia’s third place ranking in FT1000 Europe also makes it the fastest-growing company in Germany.

Almedia is at the forefront of a major digital advertising trend called Reward-based User Acquisition; an approach used by advertisers to increase player acquisition, engagement, and retention by offering real-world rewards to audiences. Its signature rewards platform ‘Freecash’ sees a community of over 35 million users completing missions inside games and apps, as well as surveys to earn real-world rewards such as gift cards from brands such as Netflix and Amazon. This year’s FT1000 listing also ranks Almedia as the fastest-growing advertising company, reflecting the surge in popularity of Reward-based User Acquisition across mobile games and apps.

Moritz Holländer, CEO and founder of Almedia, commented:

“Almedia’s inclusion in this year’s FT1000 and continued rapid growth reflects the new reality that audiences now expect rewards from their digital interactions – and advertisers are taking note. It also proves that, with the right fusion of great people and great tech, it’s still possible to grow innovative, tech-driven companies in Europe. We will continue to invest in both our people and our technology to achieve our goal of becoming the smartest way advertisers can spend their digital ad budgets.”

In November 2024, Almedia was recognised by Singular as a leader for ad spend growth, surpassing the likes of Reddit and Amazon Media Group. The Financial Times FT1000 2025 Edition was produced in partnership with leading research firm Statista.
