Akvilė Jurkaitytė is a Senior Associate at Sorainen, working within the firm’s Finance & Insurance team, with a key focus on fintech, blockchain, banking, and corporate advisory. She provides legal guidance to a wide range of financial market participants, assisting with licensing processes, regulatory strategy, AML compliance, communication with the Bank of Lithuania, and other matters related to business structuring and post-licensing obligations.

Akvilė has extensive experience supporting crypto service providers and blockchain projects in Lithuania. Her work includes advising on token issuance, navigating AML/CTF requirements, and helping clients prepare for the MiCA regulation, contributing to the development of compliant and forward-thinking digital finance solutions.

In addition to her legal work, Akvilė has a strong background in the non-governmental sector, having served as Secretary General of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA), where she coordinated international legal education projects and represented ELSA at the highest level, including engagements with the Council of Europe and the International Bar Association. She also participated as a delegate at the UNESCO General Conference, contributing to global policy discussions on education, science, and culture.

In 2023, Akvilė was a member of the Lithuanian Fintech Awards committee, and she currently serves on the Board of the Crypto Economy Organisation in Lithuania.

She holds a Master’s degree in Law from Vilnius University.
