The upcoming park management sim Mars Attracts invites players to take part in an Alpha test period kicking off in November 2024.
Mars Attracts combines the rich systems and in-depth management simulations familiar to fans of games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, Theme Hospital and Zoo Tycoon with the retro futuristic, B-movie inspired style and darkly mischievous humor of this beloved IP.
Developers Outlier are keen to have fans contribute to the direction of Mars Attracts ahead of an Early Access release next year.
The announcement of the alpha release coincided with the release of a first look gameplay trailer at the Convergence Showcase on Thursday, 26 September. An extended version of the trailer was also revealed in an IGN exclusive on Youtube.
The gameplay trailer provided a look at the current state of development of Mars Attracts, showcasing the park building, guest management and human acquisition mechanics.
The trailer also provided a first look at the game’s various colorful environments above and below the surface of Mars, as well as a little taster of the chaos that can ensue when your humans break free. All of these features and more will be showcased in the Alpha.
Mars Attracts was revealed in August with a first trailer at Gamescom which racked up over 1 million views across all platforms. The game will be released on Steam in Early Access in 2025.
