Inductee will be announced during WSOP Event #92: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em tournament on July 11
The World Series of Poker (WSOP®) today announced the 10 poker legends that are being considered for induction into the Poker Hall of Fame for 2025. One new member is inducted annually, as determined by the living Hall of Fame members via ballot.
The players being considered for induction in 2025 are:
- Jeremy Ausmus
- “Miami” John Cernuto
- Ted Forrest
- Phil Galfond
- Kathy Liebert
- Mike Matusow
- Matt Savage
- Isai Scheinberg
- Nick Schulman
- Scott Seiver
This marks the first year that Galfond, Schulman, and Seiver have been considered for induction; all three players are now 40 years old and thus meet the minimum requirement for Poker Hall of Fame eligibility.
The new Hall of Fame inductee will be announced publicly just ahead of the start of WSOP Event #92: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, hosted at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas on the iconic Las Vegas Strip. All living Poker Hall of Fame members are invited to participate for free in Event #92, with bounties paid to the players who eliminate them from the tournament; each Hall of Famer’s bounty amount will correspond to their induction year.
The new inductee’s official photograph will also be added to the walls of the WSOP Hall of Fame Poker Room at Horseshoe Las Vegas.
