India has secured a direct invitation to the MOBA Legends: 5v5! main event at the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026, after the Esports Foundation (EF) confirmed roster submissions and direct invite recipients for the tournament. The inaugural nation-based esports competition is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Nov. 2 to 29, 2026.
MOBA Legends: 5v5! at ENC 2026 will run from Nov. 23 to 29 and feature 32 teams competing for a USD 1.5 million prize pool (about INR 14.2 crore), according to EF. EF said it allocated 16 direct invitations via the ENC Rankings, which aggregate points earned by players across international, regional, and select official competitions, including the recently concluded Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 in Paris.
EF said India earned its direct invite after accumulating 2,600 ENC Ranking points. The roster includes Gaithanlung Gonmei (Kyle), Susanta Biswas (Kimyy), Abhijeet Katkar (Asuna), Rithik Sohal (Romcom), and Evancius A. Sangma (Vann), with Mohammad Saad (Apex) and Jay Mehta (J) listed as reserve players. Steve Vitug (Dale), appointed by NODWIN Gaming as India’s National Team Partner (NTP) for ENC 2026, will serve as coach.
Vitug said the team’s focus will be on integrating differing strengths ahead of the event in Saudi Arabia. “One of the biggest strengths of this roster is the variety of experience each player brings. Every player has something unique to offer, whether it’s leadership, mechanics, or decision-making. Our focus over the coming months is to combine those strengths into a cohesive team with a clear identity and style of play. I am confident we’ll be ready to take on the challenge in Riyadh,” he said.
EF also said India now has representation in eight titles at ENC 2026: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Chess, EA SPORTS FC, Honor of Kings, MOBA Legends: 5v5!, Rocket League, Trackmania, and VALORANT. EF added that the ongoing EA SPORTS FC regional qualifiers provide another route for an additional Indian player to qualify via the South Asia regional qualifier, alongside Charanjot Singh, who the release said has already secured one of India’s two available places through rankings.
