Sword Group, headquartered in Luxembourg and specializing in data insights, digital transformation, and technology services, has recently announced the acquisition of two companies based in Scotland: AAA and IACS.

AAA, known formally as Aberdeen Appointments Agency, operates as a recruitment and staffing firm situated in Aberdeen, Scotland. The company focuses on providing a wide array of services including permanent and contract placements, temporary assignments, and executive and interim vacancies across various industries, ranging from small local businesses to large blue-chip organizations.

AAA underwent a partial sale on June 1, 2023, and has since restructured its operations to leverage Artificial Intelligence tools developed by Sword Group. Sword finalized the acquisition of AAA on April 2, 2024. The company has maintained a revenue trend of €8 million annually with an EBITDA margin of 2%. Following the integration of Sword’s AI products, AAA aims to achieve an EBITDA margin target of 9% by 2025, further increasing to 12% by 2026.

IACS, a micro-company also based in Aberdeen, specializes in securing digital networks for industrial process control, enhancing cybersecurity across sectors relevant to Sword Group’s current portfolio. With an annual revenue trend of €2.9 million and an impressive EBITDA margin of 20%, IACS anticipates an organic growth rate of 15% annually following its integration into Sword Group. The consolidation of IACS into Sword Group’s financial accounts is slated to commence on July 1, 2024.
