Irving-Based Exela Snags $35M Cybersecurity Contract for Breach Remediation

Exela Technologies Inc., based in Irving, has secured a significant short-term contract valued at over $35 million for security breach remediation. This initiative, which began in June and is set to conclude next month, involves an undisclosed client and aims to mobilize resources quickly for high-stakes, time-sensitive security breaches.

Exela CEO Suresh Yannamani commented on the contract, stating, “This is a prime example of how Exela’s full-service cybersecurity compliance, remediation, and incident response solutions are resonating in the industry.” He noted the company’s swift and effective response in a legally sensitive situation, emphasizing, “As cybersecurity becomes increasingly critical as each day passes, we are well-positioned to assist our customers promptly.”

Cybersecurity remediation involves identifying and addressing threats that can compromise a business’s network security. The project is a boost for Exela’s ITPS segment, which reported revenues of $732 million in 2023. The company highlights this project as a demonstration of its ability to rapidly scale capacity and deliver effective remediation solutions to its customers.

Under the brands Reaktr.ai for cybersecurity and Rust Consulting for breach remediation services, along with notification services by Exela Technologies BPA LLC, Exela operates on a global scale. With a presence in 20 countries, including XBP Europe Holdings, and a customer base that includes more than 4,000 clients across 50 countries—over 60% of which are Fortune 100 companies—Exela stands out as one of the few companies offering these services at such a scale.
