Equals Money to power Chorus TM’s new financial management platform for the music industry

Equals Money, a subsidiary of the UK-based paytech Equals Group, has been chosen to power Chorus TM, a cutting-edge financial management platform designed specifically for the music industry.

Crafted by entertainment industry veterans Freddy Greenish and Simon Liddell, Chorus TM aims to equip entertainment managers with a suite of advanced financial tools. These tools include real-time spending reporting, optimized reconciliation processes, foreign exchange management strategies, and the ability to facilitate both domestic and international payments.

In addition to offering a user-friendly app and online platform, Chorus TM will introduce innovative features such as named multi-currency IBAN accounts and a multi-currency Chorus TM Mastercard, enabling users to conduct transactions in up to 20 different currencies. The platform will also seamlessly integrate with popular accounting software Xero, providing a comprehensive financial management solution.

Commenting on the collaboration, James Simcox, Equals Group’s Chief Product Officer and International MD, expressed confidence in the synergy between Equals Money’s expertise and the entertainment industry’s needs. He stated, “Over the past two decades, Equals Money has established a strong presence in the international film and TV industries with our B2B financial management software. Expanding into the wider entertainment industry with Chorus TM is a natural progression for us.”

Before founding Chorus TM, Liddell and Greenish led the entertainment and music units at spend management platform Centtrip, serving a diverse client base of over 1,000, including record labels, music publishers, and global artists.

Looking ahead, Chorus TM is set to launch in the UK this month, with plans to onboard US clients shortly thereafter. A full US launch is scheduled in the coming months, marking an exciting milestone in the platform’s journey to revolutionize financial management in the music industry.
