myPOS Appoints Mario Shiliashki as CEO to Lead UK Paytech

London-based paytech company myPOS has appointed Mario Shiliashki, a former executive at Mastercard, as its new CEO. Shiliashki, who will also serve on the company’s board of directors, brings almost thirty years of industry experience to his new role.

Before joining myPOS, Shiliashki served as an independent director at Fingerprint Cards, a Swedish biometrics firm, and Crown Agents Bank. He has held leadership positions at prominent organizations such as Goldman Sachs, PayPal, and Mastercard. Additionally, he previously served as the CEO of Dutch paytech company PayU Global Payments.

Established in 2012, myPOS provides merchants with a range of payment processing tools and solutions and claims to serve over 200,000 enterprises across 30 European countries.

Shiliashki expressed his enthusiasm about joining myPOS at a critical moment in its development. The company recently expanded its presence by opening new sales offices in Italy and France and is preparing for further growth.

In November, myPOS was acquired by US private equity firm Advent International in a transaction reportedly valuing the company at around €500 million. With Shiliashki taking the helm and supported by this acquisition, myPOS aims to continue growing while maintaining its unique business model and competitive value proposition, according to Laurent LeMoal, the chairman of the board at myPOS.
