Tech Centre joins forces with CeX to launch leading repair service for gamers

Europe’s leading tech repair service, Tech Centre, has joined forces with CeX, the UK’s biggest second-hand electronics and entertainment specialist, to launch its console repair service for gamers across the UK.

Tech Centre, which specialises in the repair of consoles, controllers and handhelds, brings its highly rated service to CeX’s 380+ UK stores, creating a local service for gamers to drop off their damaged kit for repair by its cutting-edge tech repair geeks.

The brand, with more than 200,000 repairs under its belt to date, embraces both the nostalgia of retro consoles and caters to the latest gaming devices, repairing everything from Atari and NES to PlayStation and Steam Deck. For the gamers that love old school Mario and the gamers that can’t live without Rocket League, the Tech Centre engineers guarantee a top-notch repair, no matter the device.

Tech Centre provides a ‘no fix no fee’ guarantee and a two-year warranty – if it can’t be fixed then it will be returned to the owner, no questions asked. With over three decades of experience between the two brands, gamers can rest easy knowing their items are in safe, trusted hands.

Craig Heppinstall, Managing Director at Tech Centre, said: “We understand that your gadgets are more than just devices and our engineers are as passionate about gaming as they are about providing quality repairs. We know that accidents happen with devices and we want to see them repaired rather than discarded over a simple fix.”

“We provide a quality yet efficient service with our repairs and we keep customers informed every step of the way, from the moment they book a repair. We aim to get products back to customers within 7 days of arriving at our repair centre so that they can get straight back into gaming as soon as possible.”

Tech Centre has ambitious plans to broaden and expand its product offering, launching a standalone direct-to-consumer offering this Spring, becoming the repair service of choice for gamers.

The brand has also agreed a 2024 sponsorship with Endpoint, one of the UK’s top esports organisations, and, in collaboration with CeX and Endpoint, will be running social media competitions with well-known content creators such as Pickapixel to promote the partnership – giving fans the chance to win high-end, gaming-related goodies throughout the year.
