Nyan Heroes today announced a partnership with G2 Esports, one of the leading global esports and entertainment brands, to establish its foundation in esports and connect with fans.
Developed by 9 Lives Interactive, Nyan Heroes is a next-generation hero shooter game with unique gameplay mechanics and cat-inspired IP to drive mass adoption. Players select from 8 guardian classes and use both unique abilities and agile, feline-inspired movement to secure objectives and defeat opponents. Mechs are highly customizable via an innovative “augment weapon” system, providing a wide range of play styles and opportunities to express high skill levels.
G2 Esports, which is celebrated for its decorated roster across nine premier esports titles, including DOTA 2, League of Legends, and VALORANT, will introduce Nyan Heroes to a broader community of esports players and enthusiasts.
Currently, in pre-alpha, Nyan Heroes has landed in the top ten games on Epic Games wishlist and has seen over 450,000 signups following a recent announcement of its Early Access Playtest, available from March 26th to April 9th. In the future, Nyan Heroes plans to organize fun, friendly show matches between some of the biggest esports organizations in the world.
“Partnering with a legendary esports powerhouse like G2 Esports is a testament to our commitment to making a mark in the esports industry. We’re committed to supporting competitive play across all levels, from professional circuits to community grassroots, underscoring our belief in Nyan Heroes’ potential to become an esports phenomenon reminiscent of the early days of the Overwatch League,” said Max Fu, Creative Director and CEO of 9 Lives Interactive.
“For G2 Esports, we’re always looking for exciting partners who are looking to shake things up, and 9 Lives Interactive is focused on creating new play experiences with game development as the first priority. We’re excited to be part of what they’re building with Nyan Heroes as they continue to innovate around competitive game types. We really believe in Max and his team and can’t wait to start this collaboration together. Finally, while G2 tends to be a dog office, we are also very into cats, “ said Donald Boyce, Head of Business Development of G2 Esports.
