PokerStars said ambassador Ben “Spraggy” Spragg is among the latest players to qualify for the Sunday Million 20th Anniversary Finals, after more than 120 additional players advanced during the fifth week of Daily Heats (Phase 1’s). PokerStars said the total number of finalists now stands at 661.
According to PokerStars, Spragg secured his Finals seat by beating fellow PokerStars ambassador Sebastian Huber in their Race to the Finals challenge. Spragg qualified with a stack of 187,043, and PokerStars said he will be joined in the Finals by fellow ambassador Marle Spragg.
PokerStars also said footballer Neymar Jr played during the Phase 1’s but has not yet qualified for the Finals. Huber, who plays as “peace&loove,” has until August 14 to qualify, PokerStars said.
PokerStars said Spragg’s All-In Shootout awarded $10,000 in $109 Sunday Million Anniversary Daily Heat tickets last week. The company said that if Huber qualifies, his All-In Shootout with $5,000 in tickets will take place, and noted players can attempt to qualify for the Sunday Million 20th Anniversary “for just $0.01 using the password: SMA20.”
The Sunday Million 20th Anniversary is a 10-week phased tournament with a $5 million guaranteed prize pool, PokerStars said. The Finals (Phase 2) are scheduled for Sunday, September 6, with qualifiers from the Daily Heats competing for the title.
PokerStars said the Finals field includes players such as Tom Talboom, Blaise Bourgeois, Tobias Eichenseher, and Robin Ylitalo, along with “efkinis24,” “TOBSEN_TE9,” “Sintoras,” Dalton “daltonhb” Hobold, Gilles “TaxationisTheft” Simon, and “paulinhoo00.” PokerStars said remaining qualification routes include satellites starting from $0.55, special edition Spin & Go’s from $0.75, and the Ticket Machine, which it said is awarding $800,000 in tickets.
