KITKAT, the famous Nestlé chocolate-covered wafer bars with a global presence, reaffirms its commitment to GIANTX and continues for another year as the official partner of the esports club, the most decorated in Spain and one of the most popular in Europe.

Entering the esports sector in early 2021, KITKAT has established itself as one of the most recognized brands in professional video game competitions during this period. After another successful year for GIANTX, KITKAT will once again be the perfect companion for breaks between matches.

With the renewal of the agreement, KITKAT will have visibility on the sleeve of the jersey during national competitions in which GIANTX participates, such as the Superliga in League of Legends, Spain’s premier esports competition, where the giants have a historic seven titles.

In addition to appearing on the jersey, the Nestlé brand will be featured on social media and various broadcasting channels of GIANTX, as well as on their physical and digital platforms. It will also be projected through the organization’s network of players and creators.

KITKAT and GIANTX, involved in one of the longest-standing partnerships in esports, will collaborate on joint campaigns, new formats, and content to be released throughout the year. To celebrate the continuation of their partnership, the chocolate-covered wafer bars accompany the Superliga in League of Legends players in a fun commercial that welcomes the competition starting on January 17.

Carla de Sivatte, Head of Nestlé’s chocolate business in Spain, mentions that KITKAT, as an international brand, continues to invest in gaming, an area closely aligned with KITKAT’s target audience. “Being part of the GIANTX family for the fourth year makes us very happy, and we trust in continuing to achieve success. Together, we have built a great community, and we want to keep supporting gamers’ breaks by offering the best content,” she declares.

Luis García, Commercial Director of GIANTX, emphasizes the alliance with KITKAT: “We are very pleased to have KITKAT as an official partner for another year. After three successful years together, we approach 2024 with a strategy focused on entertainment and content generation. Currently, KITKAT is one of the most enduring and recognized brands in the competitive gaming industry due to this partnership and its presence in various League of Legends championships by Riot Games. This renewed agreement further strengthens KITKAT’s position as a leader in both national and international esports.

As for GIANTX, it has risen to the elite of esports following its recent creation, resulting from the merger of the Spanish club Giants, founded in 2008, and the British organisation, EXCEL ESPORTS, founded in 2014. With this union, GIANTX will participate in major global esports leagues, such as the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), Game Changers, and the aforementioned Superliga LoL.
