Kristina Vabinskaitė

Kristina Vabinskaitė is Chief Specialist at the Financial Markets Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania. She is the Ministry’s main contact point for AML/CFT and crypto-asset issues, drafting legal acts and coordinating Lithuania’s positions in EU and international discussions. She has represented Lithuania in negotiations on the EU AML Package in the Council of the EU and is an active member of several expert groups, including the Hague Conference on Private International Law’s Experts’ Group on Digital Tokens. She also supports the Ministry’s role as a shareholder in the AML Centre of Excellence and has been responsible for the national implementation of the Transfers of Funds and MiCA regulations.
