BlockTower Capital, a leading institutional cryptocurrency and blockchain technology investment firm, is today announcing the acquisition of Gamma Point Capital, an investment manager specializing in market neutral strategies. Gamma Point’s market neutral fund will become part of the BlockTower family of funds.
Founded by Sanat Rao, Rahul Rai, and Eash Aggarwal, Gamma Point has rapidly become a trusted choice for investors looking for superior risk-adjusted returns. Combining experience in cryptocurrency, traditional financial services, trading and risk management, venture capital, and technology development, the team executes proprietary market neutral strategies including arbitrage and decentralized finance (“DeFi”) yield techniques which seek to profit regardless of the broader market environment or direction (i.e., hedging out beta crypto market exposure).
The team will continue to scale out the market neutral strategy as part of BlockTower. Sanat joins the executive management team as a general partner and will be responsible for leading the market neutral strategy along with new strategic activities.
